The University of Cordoba is a High Education institution established in 1972. Its premises are located in four campuses. The total budget for 2008 is 152.209.300 Euros and the research efforts are compound of 165 research units covering different disciplines. The applicants form a research group of seven research scientists and about 25 graduate students and technicians coordinated by Professor Elías Fereres. The Group was established in 1981 at the Agronomy Department in the University of Córdoba and has been conducting research on water, agriculture and environment, based at Cordoba, Spain, for the last 27 years. The Group has a broad focus on agricultural water management and conservation issues, with emphasis on combining modelling and experimental approaches.
